About Ian Holzhauer
I am an associate at Nagle Obarski PC in Naperville, IL, concentrating in estate planning, probate, and assisting small businesses. I received my Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University in 2007, and was admitted to the Illinois Bar the same year.
From 2007-2014, I served as a JAG in the United States Air Force. As a uniformed attorney, one of my favorite duties was estate planning. I prepared hundreds of estate planning documents for deploying servicemembers, military families, and retirees around the world. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to serve tours in Guam, the Caribbean, North Dakota, and Ohio, as well as to perform duties in Hawaii, Mainland Japan, Okinawa, South Korea, and many Continental United States locations as well.
I am also a proud husband and father of three, soon to be four. My family treasures the wonderful opportunities afforded to us during our time in the Air Force.
At the end of 2014 we returned home to DuPage County, where I was raised from birth until graduation from Naperville North High School. I chose to start a law practice concentrating in estate planning, to continue helping families plan for an more secure future.
In July of 2015, I continued my estate planning-focused practice by accepting a position with Nagle Obarski PC, a firm in downtown Naperville.
While this blog does not provide individual legal advice and is not a substitute for an attorney-client relationship, I do hope to share ideas about the right questions we can all be asking to ensure the security of our families' futures. My philosophy is that being a good lawyer is about listening to the client and helping the client find a solution that works for them--not the other way around.
